DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP

What is Digital Citizenship?

Every technology user, whether you are a student using the Internet to do research for an assignment or an adult using a computer at work to communicate via email, is responsible for their digital behavior. Being a good digital citizen can be defined as using technology in appropriate and responsible ways. More specifically, it describes a person who develops the skills and knowledge to use the Internet and other digital resources to engage responsibility in civic and social events and activities.

Common Sense Media Lessons

What we are teaching?

Thatcher Unified School District believes all students need digital citizenship skills in order to take ownership of their digital footprints and digital lives. Therefore, we are using lessons created by Common Sense Media to provide students with critical 21st century skills.
The chart on the left lists the lessons that will, at a minimum, be taught per grade level in any given school year.
